WHY DID WE CHOOSE IKEA CABINETS FOR THIS HOUSE?
When Roderick and I bought our home we did not intend on living in it forever. Obviously, we don't know the exact plan God has for our future, but we know that when we have children our current house will not be big enough for us. For this reason, we decided to make this house perfect to live in for the next five years or so, at that point we will decide if we want to rent our house out or do a complete new build on our lot.
Because of all of these factors, we could not fathom putting a ton of money into just the cabinets, especially if we end up tearing our home down to do a new build. So that's when we decided on IKEA cabinets.
IKEA CABINET REVIEW AND HOW THE INSTALL PROCESS WORKED
We are actually super happy with our cabinets! I will say that paying someone to help install them is definitely a must. Roderick and I helped with the install to speed things up, and they are VERY time consuming. If you have little to no IKEA experience you need to find someone who does and enlist their help. There is definitely a learning curve. We did notice that when we installed our IKEA closet we had a much easier time. This was because we knew how to read and follow IKEA instructions, which are just pictures. Not the easiest to follow.

WOULD I PURCHASE IKEA CABINETS AGAIN?
If we were looking for a nice, but inexpensive cabinet, I would definitely purchase them. I also know there is a company called Semihandmade that makes cabinet fronts that work on IKEA cabinets, so I would definitely consider looking at those cabinets, too.
